Hello ...

Education: Good Counsel Primary / Good Counsel College
James Cook University of North Queensland (Bachelor of Education).
Occupation: Primary/Elementary School Teacher
Interests: Computers, Squash, Photo Editing, My Camera, iPod, iPhone and iPad.
Places I have lived: Innisfail, Townsville, Mount Isa, Atherton and Brisbane.
I have been taking photographs as an amatuer
for 10 years. A friend of mine had introduced me to photography after visiting Sydney in 2000. Being in front of a camera was not a favourite of mine but when he asked me to take a
picture ... that was it ... I was hooked. I learned that as a photographer, you are recording memories as well as history.
Photography changed the way I look at and appreciate the world. As a photographer, I see things with shape, colour, form and mostly as a story. The photographs reflect a range of the best photographs that I have taken.
Currently, I am using a Canon 450D (DSLR). Utilising both 18-55mm and 55-250mm kit lenses. Cameras that I have used over the years
include: Ricoh RDC-5000 (Compact), Canon PowerShot S2 IS (Compact), Nikon Coolpix 2500 (used as a take anywhere camera). I
can include my iPod and iPad ... which are used rarely to take
photographs, but are ready for action. Now, I can add my iPhone to my list of cameras. I have now dedicated an entire blog to this device.
Dogs have become an important part of my photography for two reasons. They provide me the chance to practise my photography on a daily basis and a challenge of photographing moving bodies at different speeds. My thanks to all the people who bring their dogs to the park and allow me to photograph them at play and rest.
I hope that you enjoy the pictures as much as I have taking them.
Craig Stewart.
